Why photographers still use the Minolta 35mm camera.

Gone mostly of the days of a Minolta 35mm camera. I used to take hundreds of photos in a session as a photographer. Every 36 shots I would have to change the film. I got really fast and efficient at changing the film in a Minolta 35mm camera.

Using film gives in my view a more realistic skin tone and certain softness about the photo. Exposures using 35mm film is not as critical as using a digital camera, though digital cameras these days are more accurate.

Those who have been bitten by the old days of 35mm camera bug know how expensive this could get. A Minolta 35mm camera is already expensive, what more a vintage one.

But if you do your research, you can find one at a great price.

Don’t worry. There are still some models that won’t make you burn your purse. These are the non-folding vintage 35mm cameras like the lke, soe Voigthlander, and Zeiss Contessa models. Another not so popular model is the Agfa super silette.

This may come in for less than $55. There are also the ones from the 1970s like the Minolta hi-matics, Konica, Yashica, and Olympus.

If it just so happens that you need to fix a twenty year old 35mm camera, you can do this yourself. It wouldn’t cost you anything – just your time. Of course, you need to know the parts that you need.

If you are going to interchange some parts of your camera, invest in parts that you know would last. If you can get some for exchange, then seize the opportunity. The frequently exchanged parts are the lenses and they sometimes come with the finders as well.

If you are OK with a fixed lens, get the pair that have a nice view finder. If you can get a instruction booklet too, then do so. Sometimes there might be problems when it comes to the mercury batteries of vintage 35mm cameras.

This will make it harder for you to replace or restore. If you do need help on anything, you can seek a qualified professional and ask your questions.
